英国と米国の科学者たちが、世界８０カ国、およそ２００万人の人々を３５年間にわたり、「人生における幸福」を調査研究した。その結果、Happiness for people follows a U-shaped curve. Middle age is the most miserable period of our lives. People feel happier when they are young and old during life. People who are seventy years old are about as happy as people twenty years old.　と結論付けた。論文は　Journal of Social Science and Medicine で近く発表される予定になっています。
